What descriptive and detailed story you have created. I really like all the detail in it as I could feel some of what you were feeling when you were writing it. Being away from friends during holidays can be hard however technology is great with being able to call massage them. Have you had a chance to see some of them over the holidays? Your friends sounds like they're great fun to be around.
